We have partnered with Lyft to provide affordable and reliable transportation services to individuals going to and from facilities for a breast health appointment. The ride share credit covers round trip transportation to and from the vaccine site (up to $20 each way).

The ride share credit may be obtained at Claim your Free tgin X Lyft Ride Credit – tgin (tginfoundation.org) for round trip transportation to and from the facility (up to $20 each way).

To receive the free lyft credits, applicants must be women of color seeking transportation to a clinical breast exam, mammogram, chemo, attending a follow-up visit or seeking treatment in the Chicagoland area.

In the city of Chicago, Black women are 42% more likely to die from breast cancer than the general population. This partnership will help eliminate transportation barriers that prevent women from obtaining a clinical breast exam, mammogram, attending follow-up visits or seeking treatment. 

The tgin Foundation’s mission is to support uninsured women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, highlight the impact of health disparities on survivor outcomes, and stress the importance of early detection for women under the age of 40.

The tgin foundation is dedicated to supporting women of color undergoing treatment for breast cancer, highlighting the impact of health disparities on survivor outcomes, and stressing the importance of early detection for women under the age of 40. Therefore, to best align with our mission we are eliminating the transportation barrier that affects many African Americans in the Chicagoland area. 

The lyft credits are available to not only breast cancer survivors but also women obtaining a clinical breast exam, mammogram, attending follow-up visits or seeking treatment.

The applicants must visit tginfoundation.org and submit a short form with information about themselves and their transportation needs. Following their submission, a tgin Foundation representative will reach out to them with their code.
