About the Partnership
The tgin Foundation recently announced its partnership with Lyft, the ridesharing company, to provide safe and reliable transportation services for those needing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The new ride program is nationwide and open to eligible persons, and women can combine their vaccine appointment and go to a breast health appointment at the same time.
Due to COVID-19, there is a rise of concern for individuals with cancer or a history of cancer. Fortunately, vaccines are approved for emergency use and are considered safe and effective. The Center for Disease Control (CDC), National Comprehensive Cancer (NCNN), and other expert medical groups have recommended that people with cancer be prioritized for vaccination (Still, it is recommended to talk with your doctor about whether getting the vaccination is right for your specific situation).
Appointments are required, so everyone must contact the location to arrange an appointment. Visit https://www.vaccines.gov/ to find vaccines in your area.
