The Pink Ambassador Program is a volunteer program lasting through the month of October which tasks its members with sharing information regarding breast cancer awareness, stress the importance of early detection and how to minimize risk, highlight the racial disparities in survivor outcomes, and provide resources for women seeking breast health treatment.
Enlisting over 300 Ambassadors over four years and counting, the Pink Ambassador program opens the conversation about breast cancer up to wider audiences, because we know that cancer does not discriminate based on age, sex, or ethnicity. Pink Ambassadors not only share useful information about breast cancer, they also empower other people to practice self care and advocate for their own health.Â
